You are awarded points when you are in enemy and friendly territory so staying back and defending captured positions nets you just as much points as attacking while also allowing you to have the defenders advantage of the enemy pushing right infront of your gun. Infantry are the main source of aggression and defence in the game, they push the objectives, protect your tanks and cap points while also defending positions while other squads attack the point. You can either play as Infantry, Armour, Recon or Commander. If you want to win in this game you must work together, this means running with your squad, listening to your Squad Leader and communicating often, lone wolfs generally have a lower overall score than someone who plays with his squad, kills do not count for many points but are satisfying nonetheless, especially the *tink* sound of headshots.īefore you start your HLL experience make sure you have a functioning microphone, communication wins games and you don't want to be having to stop every 10 seconds to type something.īuilding "garrisons" in this game is super important, they are the static point at which your entire team can spawn at, they require a Squad Leader and a support player to build, the support drops "supplies" and the SL builds the "garri".Įach Squad Leader can also build an 'Outpost or OP', this is a mini garrison that only your squad can deploy on.Įnemy garrisons can be destroyed by blowing them up with grenades, bazooka/panzerschrek/tank/artillery rounds or just walking up close to them, destroying an enemy garrison is very important because they can only be built every 150m (now 100m due to patch changes) and destroying them gives your team greater map control. Hell Let Loose is THE best WW2 game I have played, it's less hardcore than a game such as Post Scriptum and therefore is enjoyable for Casual gamers but is challenging enough to satisfy Hardcore players. *Warning, VERY long and detailed review/overview\* I wish I could have gone into more depth but I only had 3 characters left to spare, so I hope you enjoy it! Death from an unseen sniper or rifleman from afar is common, but on the other hand dispatching a distant enemy from cover is thrilling every time and there’s nothing like honing a talented squad to well-ordered perfection and winning a grueling match.Hey guys, I posted a very detailed steam review of Hell Let Loose about 2 weeks back and it has blown up so I thought I would post it here and see what you thought! There is a lot of hurry-up-and-waiting around, or scanning the map for enemies and objectives, and travel by foot across the immense maps can be painfully slow and tense. The actual weapons look, sound, and feel great, when you actually get to use them. Hell Let Loose is really a game that rewards diving deep into one or two classes and helping your team by being an expert and leveled up, with the best gear and skills. ![]() You have a choice of fighting for the Americans, Germans or Soviets and though you begin as a lowly rifleman, you can eventually unlock 14 different classes like Scout, Machine Gunner, Medic, Engineer, and Tank Commander. Modeled from satellite imagery and period reconnaissance photographs, the immense battlefields are divided into capturable sectors and matches can last a very long time, upwards of an hour. Hell Let Loose is a 50v50 multiplayer shooter, set in Europe during some of the most iconic battles of World War 2, including Omaha Beach, Carentan, Stalingrad, and Foy.
